Changing my Doctors office ASAP!! Ive been with this doctors office for over 10 years. Within my lastest visits I have decided to change doctors offices. Im not sure if they have a doctors shortage but every appointment I go to is never done in a timely manner. Why take appointments if you have to wait a hour and a half to 2 hours before seeing a doctor . They have made it into a habit of just not caring

I have used Thea Bowman Community Health Center since before I became diagnosed with diabetes. Always professional, always good with records, and the best doctor/patient relationship I've ever experienced. I use them for all aspects of medical care. They have counselors for assistance with life needs during long term illnesses. I have personally recommended them to over fifty personal contacts.

Medical records and Customer Service at Advantage Health Center/Thea Boweman is a joke. I am waiting to see if my surgery is postponed because Sinai Grace wasn’t able to obtain test results from them in time. Advantage Health/Thea Boweman medical records told my surgeons office that I hadn’t been seen there since July, when actually I’ve seen my PCP at least 3 times since July, recently as last week October 18. WARNING: Beware if you’v applied for Social Security Disability, my claim was denied stating “medical records not received” in time. I now have to wait for a Social Security Disability hearing which could take another year for my chance comes back around. Too bad I can’t take my doctor with me; but I’m looking for a new place to go. Customer Service and Medical Records at this place borders incompetence.

The doctors are changed frequently, making it impossible to establish patient doctor relationship. Medical history has to be recapped every time the doctor changes because they don't read your chart before coming in. One doctor prescribed medicine for illnesses that I later found out I didn't have. Very unprofessional, had to request medical records 4 times, only for my new PCP to tell me that they were incomplete. Oh and the wait is TERRIBLE, you get called to the back fast, but wait an additional 20-30 minutes for the doctor to come in. Glad I left

Today was my first visit because I need assistance with medical care and other necessities. I couldn't believe the phenomenal services and caring from the health care providers. They are very attentive to your needs and health. I just love Ms. Brenda Miller, she is so wonderful. This facility should be a model for other community health centers. Dr. Ayewah is such a professional, she even made me blush on personal questions she ask while still making me feel comfortable. The faculty seem to really love doing their job. The patience are respectful in the lobby area. There seems to be no tension throughout the facility, a good relaxing atmosphere. ( Wellness & Goodness is definitely @ "Thea Bowman" )
